In September 2001, Tom Harper became the very first Associate Commissioner for College Hockey East after 30 years of the leagues of existence. Harper has a wealth of experience in College Hockey. He is one of the original members of the Robert Morris University ice hockey management team. He joined the Colonial's management team during the 1996-97 season and was named the very first Marketing Director. From there, he was promoted to Assistant General Manger for the team under current CHE Commissioner Chuck Kuzniewski. Harper has also assisted in hosting 1996-97 and 1998-99 WPCHA Playoffs, as well as the 1998-99 WPCHA All-Star Game and College Expo. He graduated from RMU in 1999 with a Sports Management degree and graduated the Katz School of Business with his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005. 

At 32 years of age, Tom currently works for Argosy University as an Academic Advisor for their online programs. He previously worked for UPMC and he served as an Account Executive and Tour Manager for Koeberle & Associates, a sport marketing firm based in Pittsburgh. As Tour Manager, Harper traveled over ten times internationally with former professional athletes to US military bases. Legends such as Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Vida Blue, and Ferguson Jenkins accompanied Harper overseas.

Tom is a native of Export, PA and has two younger sisters Lindsay and Jaci.  Tom has two neices Taylor and Josie and a puggle named Sidney.  Tom is married to Stacy Harper of North Huntingdon, PA.  They currently reside in Brentwood, PA.
